Aterrizaje del Andarríos Grande (Tringa ochropus)

ID del Andarríos Grande en campo:  En el río Matarraña manda el Andarríos chico (Actitis hypoleucos) , entre otras cosas porque vive todo el año (sedentario). Los Andarríos chicos picotean por las orillas o subidos sobre un bolo. A veces se les ve volando bajo, a toda velocidad, siguiendo el cauce del río. Son como unas pelotitas de color blanco, impulsadas por una alitas obscuras.   Van por libre o en grupitos muy pequeños, rara vez en bandos más grandes. Al Martín pescador también le gusta seguir a gran velocidad el cauce, y, posiblemente, sea el único que  supere en velocidad Andarríos chico, amén de sus colores metálicos y brillantes.  El Andarríos Grande (Tringa ochropus), Posado, en vuelo, (foto tomada del blog avesencanarias) es estival, escaso y, como su nombre indica, notablemente más grande que el chico. ¿Porqué callan los pájaros?

En primavera las aves cantan durante todo el día. No hace falta más que salir a la calle o al campo para percibir la algarabía de mil cantos simultáneos. Los cambios bruscos de tiempo o, si hace mucho calor, las horas centrales del día, hacen que las aves se aplatanen o incluso, se callen. Siempre quedan por ahí héroes inquebrantables como el pinzón o el ruiseñor, cuyo canto es posible escucharlo hasta en las peores condiciones meteorológicas.
